I'm not so familiar with CC licensing, so evaluating the possibility to adopt Z-Anatomy to create a 3D anatomy solution for a specific customer, wanted to ask
- if I want to use only the description of the various anatomic components applyng them to a different anatomic model, this will rely under Z-Anatomy CC license or under Fitpat TA2 licensing
- if I integrate also the full anatomy or part of the anatomy into my software, I'm needing to apply to my produced sw the same CC BY-SA 4.0 license, so allowing also my customer to modify my software. If the latter is true, how I'm supposed to do so
I have no questioning or objections about your licensing choices, my goal is to better understand the terms so to decide if this fits with our needs.
Hi Davide,
-The definitions nearly all come directly from Wikipedia.
Some adaptation has been made to match the TA2 (some Wikipedia's pages use a former name, or are described inside another structure's page), to have an easily readable structure and to remove the parts that refer to external links and pictures.
Here is the license of Wikipedia:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Copyrights
You can mention 'Z-Anatomy' for the little adaptation, but that's not a big deal.
-About the model: If you modify or mix the model, an access to these modifications can be made through a link to a .zip or .7z on your website or through Google Drive or else. If it passes through a proprietary format (not Blender nor .stl/.obj...), it would be elegant to convert it into a readable-by-all format.
Your message makes me realize that I still have to give the attribution to Wikipedia : /; I'll fix that next week.
For the model, the attribution ought to be given both to 'Bodyparts3D' and 'Z-Anatomy' because there has been a lot of work on the original parts.
-About the software: the use of a part or of the whole model implies that the software is shared under the same license. To do so, the people usually create a GitHub page where they share the source code.
A cool PC version of the APP made by Lluis Vinent in Unity is about to be released but not completely ready yet.
We're looking forward to see yours.
If both Lluis and you are willing to collaborate on the APP, it could help.
